Digital Library and Media CenterIn the Fall Semester 2003, the Libraries introduced new services through the Digital Library and Media Center to support FSU faculty and students wishing to create digital images, text, sound, video, and services in regards to audio and video streaming.
The drop-in Media Center offers facilities, training and free multimedia authoring support to users creating content for teaching and research. Hardware and software is available in the Media Center for viewing the libraries VHS and DVD video collections, and for self-service video and image digitizing, CD-ROM and DVD creation, and textual conversion and markup.
In addition, the Digital Library Center provides selected drop-off digitizing services free of charge for non-textual materials in support of classroom teaching and student assignments. All requested digitization will be completed within a reasonable period. Digital Library and Media Center staff are available to help you determine the best digital formats that are appropriate for your content and intended uses. |
